We are less than a week out from the 2024 election and the best decision I’ve made (other than placing my own vote) has been to unplug from news and social media.

Making my own circle of attention and energy quite small has allowed me to focus on what I want to create more of in the world – and what I CAN DO to create more of it.

If I allowed myself to be immersed in the upset, I’d just BE upset – and I choose not to.

Is it wild to realize that it is a choice?

I’m grateful that I have projects and people in my life that I find so compelling, I’d rather focus my energy on them than on what might happen in the future.  (Which I can do nothing about right now.)

That’s the focus of this brief episode – so if you’d like an invitation to focus on what you CAN DO – listen in!

  1. Good reminder that we have choices about what we pay attention to and what we can and can't do.
I was hoping that Camilla would win also. As a Canadian I am concerned about what might happen, but know that I have no control over the situation. I too am choosing to work on me and work on what I can do.

I chose not to watch the news some time ago. I also am cautious with Facebook – I don't get involved in discussions unless they are positive. If it is negative I just pass on by.

P.S. I'm glad that things are still working out with Bob.
